01
The short answer
Signing out is not the same thing as deleting all Social Janitor data. Local Instagram snapshots and cleanup choices are stored in your browser, while account and subscription records are handled separately online.
If you want local Pro snapshots removed from a browser, use the local-data controls rather than assuming sign out will erase them.
02
What happens when you sign out of the free preview?
In the free preview, signing out removes imported preview data and preview choices from that browser.
The free-preview usage allowance itself is tracked with your account on the backend, so deleting local browser data or signing out does not reset that allowance.
03
What happens when you sign out of Pro?
In the Pro dashboard, locally stored snapshots and cleanup decisions are not automatically treated as deleted just because you sign out.
If you want those local records removed, clear them before signing out, especially on a browser that other people can access.
05
How do you remove local data?
Use the dashboard's Clear local data control to erase locally stored snapshots and Keep/Reviewed decisions.
For a broader deletion guide, read how to delete your Social Janitor data.
06
Does signing out delete your online account?
No. Signing out ends the current session; it does not by itself delete your Social Janitor account, subscription records or other server-side information.
For a detailed storage breakdown, read where Social Janitor stores your Instagram data.
