Terms of Service — Social Janitor

Provider and scope

Social Janitor is provided by PANCON, Business ID 2992028-1, Luhtimäki 1, Vantaa, Finland. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean PANCON; “you” means the person using Social Janitor or purchasing access to it.

These terms apply to the website, free preview and Pro subscription. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you purchase for a business, you confirm you are authorized to do so. Consumers retain all protections provided by applicable consumer law.

What Social Janitor does — and does not do

Social Janitor analyzes Instagram JSON export files that you choose to import. It helps you view followers, following, mutual and one-way relationships. With appropriate snapshots, it can compare what changed between your imports. It does not access your Instagram account, require your Instagram password, automatically follow or unfollow people, or monitor Instagram in real time.

A list of accounts that do not follow you back describes a relationship in the imported data. It does not prove that any account previously followed and then unfollowed you. Comparisons depend on the completeness, format and timing of the exports you provide. Events between two snapshots may not be visible. We cannot guarantee that Meta will keep its export format or process unchanged.

Social Janitor is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Instagram or Meta, and their terms and policies apply to your use of their services separately.

Accounts and access

The free preview does not require a Pro subscription. To purchase or use Pro, you need a Social Janitor account and a valid payment method. Give accurate account details, protect your sign-in credentials and tell us promptly through Contact if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity on your account to the extent permitted by law.

Pro access is linked to your Social Janitor account, not permanently to an Instagram profile. Pro is intended for analyzing one Instagram profile at a time. You may change which profile you analyze by importing a different export; keep different profiles' snapshots separate so comparisons remain meaningful. Multi-profile management and Guru features are not included in Pro merely because they are described as planned on the website.

You must be legally able to enter into this agreement or have any permission required by law to do so. You may not sell, share or transfer paid access to another person.

Your Instagram files and browser data

Imported Instagram files stay in your browser.

The application processes selected exports locally and stores imported snapshots on your device. We do not host a backup of those snapshots on our servers.

Snapshots and cleanup decisions may remain accessible to anyone using the same browser profile, even after you sign out or another Social Janitor user signs in. Changing devices or clearing site data may remove your local history. Deleting a snapshot permanently removes that local snapshot; comparisons based on the remaining snapshots may change. You are responsible for retaining the original exports and for deciding which snapshots to keep or clear.

You confirm that you are permitted to use the files you import and will respect other people's privacy and applicable law. Do not send exported Instagram files to support unless we explicitly request them for your case. Our handling of account, billing and communication data is explained in the Privacy Policy.

Plans, paid introduction and prices

The Pricing page describes the features available in the free preview and Pro. Preview limits apply; the preview is not a promise of unlimited free access. Pro unlocks the features shown at checkout.

Monthly Pro: eligible new subscribers pay €0.99 for the first three days. Unless cancelled before that period ends, the subscription continues at €9.90/month. The introductory period is paid, not a free trial, and eligibility may be limited to one introductory offer per Social Janitor account.
Annual Pro: €49.90/year, charged when purchased and on each annual renewal unless cancelled. The €0.99 introductory period does not apply to the annual plan.

You can review the amount payable now, any applicable taxes, the recurring amount and the next billing date before confirming checkout. If a displayed checkout amount conflicts with this page, do not complete payment; contact us so we can correct it. Any future price or plan change affecting your subscription will be communicated in advance as required by applicable law; a website edit alone does not retroactively change a completed purchase.

Payments and automatic renewal

Payments and subscriptions are processed through Stripe. By confirming a subscription, you authorize the initial payment and subsequent recurring payments for the selected plan until it is cancelled. Payment methods and invoices can be managed in the billing portal accessible from Manage plan in your dashboard. We do not store your complete payment-card number.

If a recurring payment fails, access may be restricted after any applicable payment retry period. Contact us if you believe a charge is incorrect. Your exact subscription status and renewal date are available through the billing portal; a failed payment does not automatically erase snapshots saved on your device.

Cancellation, withdrawal and refunds

You can stop future renewal from your dashboard using Manage plan and completing the cancellation in Stripe's billing portal. You may also submit an express cancellation request through Contact if the portal is unavailable. Cancel before the next payment date to avoid the next charge. Where cancellation is scheduled for the end of the current period, Pro access normally continues until the date shown in the portal.

Cancelling does not automatically refund a payment already made. If you were billed in error, have a service issue, or wish to exercise a statutory right of withdrawal, see Cancellation & Refunds for instructions. Nothing in these terms removes statutory withdrawal rights or remedies for a faulty digital service.

Acceptable use

You may use Social Janitor for your own lawful analysis, including analysis for a profile you are authorized to manage. You must not misuse other people's information, breach applicable law, interfere with our systems, probe for vulnerabilities without authorization, circumvent preview or payment limits, or use someone else's account without permission. You must not represent Social Janitor as an official Instagram or Meta product.

The service does not authorize scraping, automated account activity or access to Instagram on your behalf. Any action you take on Instagram using insights from Social Janitor is your decision and remains subject to Instagram's rules.

Availability and service changes

We aim to provide a reliable service, but maintenance, faults, third-party outages or changes to Instagram's export format may interrupt it. We may make updates needed for security, compatibility and legal compliance. We will provide information about updates and material changes as required by law. Planned features, including Guru, are not guaranteed to be released by a particular date.

If the digital service is not supplied as agreed or has a defect, you may have rights to a remedy under applicable consumer law. Contact us so we can investigate.

Intellectual property

PANCON or its licensors own the website, application, branding and software, excluding material you provide. While you have access, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive right to use Social Janitor as described in these terms. You retain any rights you have in your own files and data. These terms do not transfer ownership of your Instagram exports to us.

Responsibility and consumer rights

Social Janitor reports results derived from the files you import, not a verified real-time statement about an Instagram account or another person's intentions. We are responsible for providing the digital service as agreed and for rights and remedies that apply by law. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights where doing so is prohibited by law.

You are responsible for keeping your original Instagram exports and reasonable backups of information stored only in your browser. Please report service problems promptly so we can investigate and, where required, remedy them.

Ending or restricting access

You may stop using the free preview at any time and cancel Pro as described above. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address a serious violation of these terms, fraud, a security risk or a legal requirement. Where practicable and lawful, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to contact us. Any effect on prepaid access or refunds remains subject to applicable law and the circumstances of the case.

Ending your online account or subscription does not itself erase browser-stored Instagram data. Clear local data on the device or remove the site's browser storage separately; see the Privacy Policy.

Governing law and disputes

Finnish law applies to these terms, subject to mandatory consumer protections that may apply where you live. If you have a question or complaint, first contact us so we can try to resolve it. Consumers in Finland may also seek help from the Consumer Advisory Services and, where appropriate, the Consumer Disputes Board. Nothing here restricts your right to bring a claim before a court that has jurisdiction under applicable law.

Changes to these terms and contact

We may update these terms to reflect a change in the service, law or security requirements. The latest version will show its effective date. We will give advance notice of material changes affecting an active subscription where required, and explain your options. Changes will not override protections that apply to purchases already made.
