01
The short answer
Social Janitor does not treat every cancellation as an automatic refund. If you want money already paid to be reviewed for a refund, submit a separate Billing request.
Canceling stops future renewals. A refund request asks Social Janitor to review a payment that has already been made.
02
When can you request a refund?
You can contact Social Janitor if you believe there is a legitimate reason for a payment to be reviewed.
- You believe you were charged incorrectly.
- You believe you paid twice.
- A feature that should have worked could not be used.
- You want to exercise an applicable statutory consumer right.
Refund requests are assessed individually against the circumstances and the consumer rights that apply to you.
03
How to request a refund
Use the Social Janitor contact form and select the Billing category. Explain what happened and ask for the relevant payment to be reviewed.
Use the contact form and provide enough information to identify the payment without sending sensitive card details.
04
What information should you include?
Include the information needed to identify your account and the payment in question.
- Your Social Janitor account email.
- The approximate payment date.
- The amount charged.
- A short explanation of what happened.
Do not send your complete payment-card details. Social Janitor may ask for a Stripe receipt or payment reference if it is needed to identify the charge.
05
Is canceling the subscription the same as requesting a refund?
No. Canceling your subscription stops future renewal, but it does not automatically reverse a payment that has already been made.
If you only want to stop the next charge, read how to cancel your Social Janitor subscription.
If you also want a previous payment reviewed, submit a separate refund request through Billing.
06
What about the statutory right of withdrawal?
Consumers buying online may have a statutory 14-day right to withdraw from a new purchase without giving a reason. The exact rule depends on the type of service, when performance started and the legal conditions that apply.
Starting Pro or canceling renewal does not, by itself, mean every statutory right has been waived.
To exercise a withdrawal right, send a clear statement through the contact form within the applicable period and include your account email and purchase date.
Social Janitor's cancellation terms do not remove rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer law.
07
What happens if a refund is approved?
An approved refund is issued through the original payment provider and normally returns to the original payment method.
The time it takes to appear depends on the payment provider and your bank.
For the complete policy, including withdrawal rights and service problems, read Cancellation & Refunds.
Send a Billing request with your account email, approximate payment date, amount and a short explanation of the issue.
