The short answer
If you forgot your Social Janitor password, use the recovery or reset options available from the login flow for the email address linked to your Social Janitor account.
Social Janitor does not need your Instagram password to analyze your exported follower data.

Your Social Janitor password is separate from Instagram
Social Janitor account access is handled separately from your Instagram account. The service does not ask for your Instagram password to import or compare follower data.
If you are troubleshooting Social Janitor sign-in, focus on the email and credentials used for your Social Janitor account.

How do you recover account access?
Open the Social Janitor login page and use the available account recovery or password-reset option.
Follow the instructions sent to the email address associated with the account.

Make sure you are using the correct account email
If you have more than one email address, make sure you are trying to recover the same Social Janitor account that holds your subscription or prior access.
Billing and Pro access are linked to your Social Janitor account, so using a different email can make it look like your subscription is missing.

How should you protect your account?
Use a unique password, protect access to your email account and device, and contact Social Janitor promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
Social Janitor does not have access to your plain-text password.

What if you still cannot sign in?
If the recovery flow does not work, contact support and include the email address you believe is associated with the Social Janitor account.
Use the contact form and describe the sign-in problem without sending any password.
